Day 148, Week 22 - The moving day approaches, Ikea and packing…
December 3, 2007
Dear heavens, what a clear-out we’ve had before the pending move. It’s pointless to keep things we haven’t touched since we moved in together SEVEN years ago. So much thrown away and time for a trip to the tip. I visited Ikea last Friday, and there are few things I dislike more than Ikea… Howling kids and the place packed with people. But on Fridays, there is no-one at the store, so visits are far less traumatic.:) We found what we wanted and could go straight into the warehouse area when we were ready to collect what we had decided to buy.
We had coffee with Jan-Olof and Gittan during the week - they are the lovely house-owners who are moving to an apartment. We are extremely grateful for the things you are leaving behind for us to use!
Last weekend, we celebrated the first Sunday of Advent by baking ginger biscuits, and the saffron buns baked earlier in the week were fantastic. You probably think I’ve really fallen by the wayside this time, but you would be wrong. I’ve been eating healthily all week, despite having lunch on a few occasions during the week.
Exercise: training session with Lise last Monday (always tough) and a really hard session with Calle, a friend from work, which left me with aching muscles for the whole of the weekend. Only did 4 morning walks this week. The weather is truly depressing - just as well I’m not prone to suicidal thoughts.
